From what I've seen and read, 'switchport voice vlan XX' would only work if the phones are Cisco.

My question is how to setup the switchport on the Cisco switch. I have VLAN 35 setup for the IP Phones and VLAN 83 for our desktop PCs. If we continue deploying these phone, we're going to need the phone's ports.Ĭurrently, the phones are on a port with 'Switchport access vlan 35' on the config.

We currently have 3 Toshiba IP5000 phones, all are working correctly, however, we're not using the PC ports on the back of the phone. We've installed an IP card into our Toshiba PBX. We can do the simplest of installs or create custom mounts if required.I'm a bit lost on this, and my google-fu doesn't seem to be working today.
